Fiona's favourite places in Dundee

Hi, my name is Fiona and I'm studying at the University of Dundee in Dundee, Scotland and the course that I'm studying is the Accelerated LLB.
So, the University of Dundee is right in the centre of the city of Dundee, which is, I mean, it's very beautiful. It's got the River Tay running right through it. You've got Fife just over the river, so it can be somewhere that, you know, is very beautiful to live, particularly in the summertime, so I quite enjoyed doing scenic walks and things like that in the location.
So, if I were to give you a guided tour of Dundee, I would definitely show you where the library is, 'cause I imagine that, as a student, that's somewhere that you would spend a lot of time. And, given that I hadn't really been on campus for my first year, due to COVID, I had to find everything in my second year, which you don't wanna leave to the last minute when you've got an essay deadline, just put it that way.
So, I think Dundee is very much a student city. You can see that it relies a great deal on its undergraduate population. It's got a lot of things oriented towards them. As a mature student, it's not really got a great deal of, I guess, culture going on beyond kind of bars and nightclubs and very undergraduate-oriented things, so that's one thing I would say about Dundee, is to to think maybe more carefully about the social and cultural side of what the city can offer before you commit to it.
